We work with clients in all healthcare sectors including long term care, retirement communities, hospitals, health centers and community clinics anywhere in southern Ontario that care is needed.Part-Time/ CasualAvailability required: ImmediatelyLocation: Hamilton ON & Dundas ONFacility: Community ClinicRate: $32/hrShift : 7am- 7pm and 7pm-7amCertification Required: Skilled Trade Certificate in Basic and Advanced Foot Care or similar experienceRole and ResponsibilitiesPerforms initial and ongoing assessment of the residents needs;Develop, revise and implement the resident care profiles;Order, administer and store medications and treatments in compliance with the policies of the facility, pharmacy and standards of the College of Nurses;Provide direct patient carePractice under the CNO standardsFollow facility policies and proceduresProvide direct patient care in a hospital settingPractice under the College of Nurses standardsQualificationsRegistered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited institution.BLS/ACLS & eCTAS Certification an asset.Seniors home, long-term care, and/or hospital experience an asset.Active Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.Availability to work shifts: days/evenings/nights and weekends as required.Proficient technical skills to include but not limited to: MS Word and email.Able to work independently and in a team environment.Strong interpersonal/communication & organizational skills Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills.Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV).Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years.Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certification.
