Welcome to Mezza Lebanese Kitchen, one of the largest and fastest-growing Lebanese restaurant chains in Canada on the cusp of an unprecedented expansion across Canada is embarking on an exciting journey with the opening of our new 15,000 sq ft food production plant facility in Dartmouth, NS.

Our new facility will handle the production of our proprietary items related to chicken, beef, sauces and vegetables. As the Manager for our new facility, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company. With a federal processing designation and the capability to service all of Canada, our production plant is poised to meet the increasing demand for our high-quality products.

Responsibilities:

· Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of production operations within the plant, including manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Ensure efficient utilization of resources to meet production targets and quality standards.

· Production Planning: Develop production schedules and plans to meet customer demand while optimizing production efficiency and minimizing costs. Coordinate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to forecast demand and plan production accordingly.

· Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that products meet specifications and regulatory requirements. Establish and enforce quality assurance protocols, conduct regular inspections, and address any quality issues promptly.

· Health and Safety: Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the plant, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies. Implement safety protocols, conduct regular safety training, and oversee accident prevention initiatives.

· Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for production equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Manage repair and replacement activities as needed to maintain production efficiency.

· Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and efficiency gains within the production plant. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.

· Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to production staff, including supervisors, operators, and technicians. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, coaching and developing team members to achieve their full potential.

· Budget Management: Develop and manage the production plant budget, including forecasting expenses, monitoring costs, and controlling expenditures. Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.

· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and industry best practices related to production operations, environmental protection, and employee safety. Stay abreast of changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

· Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), production volumes, quality metrics, and financial results. Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

· 5+ years of experience in production management, with a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment.

· Bachelor's degree or a related considered an asset.

· Strong technical knowledge of production processes, equipment, and materials.

· Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals.

· Solid understanding of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.

· Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
