The Job:

We are seeking an experienced Florist who will create modern pieces in fresh and artificial arrangements, bouquets, corsages and other everyday items from our retail collection with a strong sense of creative and detail-oriented hands. This person needs to be disciplined to focus on getting the items created but must also be super organized to be able to function in a multi-tasked fast paced environment.

Our Lush Flower Boutique studio designs items for weddings and events including centerpieces but also participates in alot of offsite vendor markets so you need to be able to commute to various parts of the city and be able to stand for long periods of time.

As a Floral Designer, with Pure Lush Designs and Co, you will be responsible for creating beautiful and unique floral arrangements, backdrops, stage floral designs and head table detailing for various events and occasions across the city. As an Event Set Up Crew Member, you will assist in setting up and tearing down event spaces, including installing decorations, lighting, and other event elements.

The expectations:

· We are not a floral school, we need you to know how to make pieces as we do not have time to teach you florals, there are schools that does this, we are not one of them.

Design and create modern floral arrangements, centerpieces, bouquets, and decor for weddings, corporate events, and retail sales following recipes and design samples

· Condition flowers when they arrive, ensuring to care for blooms to prolong life and minimize damage

Work offsite making bouquets at local markets and artisan events in a fast paced manner

· Inventory management, first in first out system, track spoiled blooms and discards

· Process incoming blooms including washing and sanitizing of buckets

· If you are not afraid of getting dirty or standing for long periods of time, keep reading

· Weekly care of blooms ( cut and replace water and wipe coolers)

· Work as part of a team to unload items from trailer/truck at venue in a timely and safe manner taking care to ensure items are not damaged

· Design backdrops and stage designs with team to execute events at banquet halls

· Participate in event setup and teardown, including transporting equipment and decor to offsite locations

· Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards

· Work to keep warehouse organized at all times

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

· 2+ years of floral design experience is a must

· Formal training in floral design or related field

· Portfolio showcasing your design work

· Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

· Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (for offsite and late night events)

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· AS THIS JOB IS FOR EVENTS. MUST BE FLIEXIBLE I.E SET UP AS EARLY AS 6:00AM. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO GO BACK TO THE VENUE AFTER EVENT IS OVER AT 1:00AM.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.55-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 35 per week
