We are currently searching for Financial Analyst to join our team in our Head Office location. This is a hybrid role.The Financial Analyst is responsible for a range of financial activities, including the preparation of regulatory financial returns, comprehensive accounting and taxation tasks, intricate financial analysis, and meticulous submissions to the Board of Directors and committees. This role entails rigorous internal compliance preparations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and organizational policies. Responsibilities:Regulatory Reporting Prepare monthly and quarterly regulatory financial returns submitted to OSFI, Bank of Canada and Statistics CanadaPrepare monthly BCAR and act as a subject expert on OSFI Capital Adequacy Report (CAR)Prepare liquidity monitoring ratios as requestedPrepare quarterly regulatory returns submitted to FSS (Financial Supervisory Service) in South KoreaFollow-up with regulatory representatives regarding inquiries about the Bank’s filing requirements, financial variances and the likesPrepare compliance reporting including internal compliance, RAF and regulatory requirementsMaintain internal control requirements for regulatory reportingAssist in compliance reportingAccountingParticipate in the preparation of drafts for the unaudited financial statementsPrepare monthly balance sheets, income statements and other supporting schedulesAssist external auditors on interim and annual auditPrepare data bookFinancial ReportingPrepare various reports submitted to Headquarters in South KoreaSupport in investigation transactions to reconcile BS and PLProvide support on intercompany transaction reportingAct as back up for monthly performance report and month-to-month profit variancesAct as back up for analyzing monthly, quarterly, yearly financial results and Bank’s KPIAct as back up for daily business risk monitoring report TaxationSupport in income tax and indirect tax preparationsSupport in preparations year-end income tax provisionCompile data inputs for Bank’s tax returnsPrepare and report NR4 on Canadian tax returnPrepare and report PSTMonitor indirect tax on expenses on monthly basisBoard of Directors and Committee submissionsPrepare detailed presentations for Bank’s committee and BOD meetingsOtherAct as back up for closing G/L account of Head officeRespond to ad hoc inquiriesMaintain manual relating assigned dutiesSkills/Competencies:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or other related disciplinesIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office (especially in Excel)Excellent communications skills; both written and verbal in English is preferred/in Korean is an assetGreat attention to detail with accuracyAbility to meet tight timelinesExcellent organizing abilityAbility to multi-taskEnrolment in CPA/CFA program is an assetBanking experiences is an assetRegulatory reporting experiences is an assetAt Hana Bank Canada you’ll join a close-knit and diverse group of professionals and work in a collaborative, supportive environment.
