The TELUS Finance Business Partner Enabler team supports Corporate Affairs and Finance (CA&F) – Corporate Real Estate and New Developments and is composed of a group of highly engaged and motivated team members. As a high-performing Financial Analyst III within our team, you will be a key finance business partner, leveraging your expert knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting and general business guidance, you will provide dynamic and timely insights for our key stakeholders, identifying risks and opportunities within the business and driving TELUS profitability. Here's how

Each day you will bring your financial and business expertise that will include accountability for:

  • Collaborating with your stakeholders and leading month-end close, consolidation, reporting and forecasting processes, translating results into a story that enables key business discussion and decisions
  • Working closely with team members to identify, communicate and mitigate financial risks both within the Corporate Real Estate and New Real Estate Developments portfolios and across TELUS
  • Working closely with your team, leading month-end journal vouchers, accruals, reporting processes and reconciliations

  • Evolving Corporate Real Estate model and support our business partners by developing and presenting valuable financial analysis in order aid in key business decision-making
  • Develop a strong understanding of real estate development business, processes and operations to create and present organizational information and financial reports to the team
  • Strive to improve TELUS profitability with the Corporate Real Estate and New Developments team
  • Provide insightful analysis and decision support for ad hoc requests from various stakeholders
  • Comfortable working autonomously, sometimes under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Recognize and lead implementation of new reporting tools, automation solutions and other technology-driven process improvements across the Finance Enabler team

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Proactive Planner:
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to scope out difficult tasks & projects, set objectives and goals, develop schedules, prioritize multiple activities, anticipate roadblocks and mitigate risks
    • Able to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines and goals in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and often ambiguous environment
  • High standards of performance and a strong desire to learn
  • A proven ability to highlight inefficiencies and make improvements to processes
  • Desire to learn, adapt and lead implementation of new technologies

Great-to-haves

  • Last stages of completing or completed a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA)
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google Suite, with in-depth knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with SAP and Hyperion is considered an asset
  • Experience with month-end close work, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and controls monitoring & remediation
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, problem-solving and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Show initiative and accountability in resolving issues and completing tasks
  • Drive process efficiency and continuous improvements
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant analytical experience

Salary Range: $73,000-$109,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
