They are seeking a full time Finance Manager to join their team About the role : The Finance Manager will oversee key finance and accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), banking and month-end reporting. This role offers an excellent chance to gain insight into all aspects of finance and accounting within the company Key Responsibilities : Accounts Payable: Invoice Processing: Oversee the accurate and timeline processing of supplier invoices, ensuring proper coding and authorization Vendor Management: Maintaining strong relationships with vendors, negotiate payment terms and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Payment Setup: Set up and manage payments through banking systems, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements Accounts Receivable: Collections: Manage the collections process, including monitoring outstanding receivables, sending payment reminders, and coordinating with customers to resolve payment issues. Credit Management: Assess creditworthiness of new customers, set credit limits, and monitor existing customers' credit performance. Aging Reports: Prepare and review aging reports to monitor overdue accounts and implement appropriate follow-up actions and liaise with rep agencies. Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile credit card transactions (including foreign currency cards) to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies. Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations (including foreign currency balances) to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records. Month End Journals: Prepare and process month-end journal entries to accurately reflect financial transactions and maintain up-to-date records. Employee Expenses: Manage expense processes, ensuring policy compliance and accurate reimbursement. Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processing and compliance, including deductions and remittances. Accounting and Reporting Financial Statements: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Month-end and Year-end Close: Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and coordination with finance, marketing, and operations teams Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and coordinate with external tax advisors. Technology Implementation : Recommend implementation of technology to streamline and reduce manual processes Compliance and Controls Internal Controls: Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including reporting requirements and statutory filings. Financial Management Budgeting and Forecasting : Participate and assist the Director of Finance in the company's annual budgeting process and provide regular financial forecasts. Ensure cross-collaboration with other departments to ensure buy-in Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, to identify trends and provide insights to senior management. Cash Flow Management: Work closely with the Director of Finance to manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company's financial stability. Cost Control: Implement cost control measures and optimize financial processes to enhance efficiency and profitability. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field CPA designation, or in the process of obtaining 4 years of progressive finance and accounting experience Strong financial analysis and forecasting skills. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (Netsuite ERP considered an asset) Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills. Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Passion for cycling and/or the outdoor industry is an asset.
