Job Description

One of our established clients is looking for a Finance Manager to act as a "Business Partner" in supporting the development and execution of product line strategies within the aggregates and ready-mix sectors. The ideal candidate will provide financial insights, and strategic support, and ensure accurate financial reporting. This role is instrumental in improving understanding of key business drivers and optimizing results through best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and promote safety policies across all work environments.
  • Support senior management with actionable financial insights and strategic recommendations, reviewing and analyzing financial results.
  • Assist in monthly forecasting, mid-term planning, and the development of annual budgets.
  • Conduct financial modeling, quantitative analysis, and provide financial guidance to operational teams.
  • Prepare and review monthly journal entries; collaborate on monthly forecasts and annual budget preparations.
  • Manage accounting and reporting functions, ensuring timely and reliable financial information to senior leaders.
  • Ensure financial controls, and adherence to company policies, and promote efficiency and standardization across product lines.
  • Oversee the management and reconciliation of inventory and fixed assets.
  • Drive process and system improvements; enhance efficiency and standardization across markets and plants.
  • Foster effective relationships with operating managers, continuously improve operating efficiencies and maximize asset utilization.
  • Develop strong business knowledge, ensure consistent reporting, and link KPIs with financial reporting for better business insights.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • 5+ years of progressive financial management experience.
  • Professional accounting designation required (e.g., CMA, CGA, CPA, or CA).
  • Experience in operational and shared services finance preferred.
  • SAP experience is an asset.
  • Strong financial and business analysis and cost control skills.
  • Understanding plant operations is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to influence with and without authority.
  • Proficiency in SAP/ERP BI, GAAP/IFRS.
  • Knowledge of shared services finance models.
