Job Description
Position Summary
The position is a fixed- term backfill for 6-8 months with the Finance Manager will report to the Cboe Canada CFO. Primary responsibility is to ensure timely, accurate recording of financial transactions, preparation of monthly reconciliations, performing analytical analysis, variance analysis, and financial presentations.
Major Job Duties
• Manage the monthly reporting cycle and perform transaction processing, such as JEs, client and vendor invoicing to ensure timely and accurate books of records
• Must be able and willing to perform duties and responsibilities of staff for vacation and absence coverage
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and management reporting packages
• Prepare monthly reconciliations
• Modify, create, enhance processes to meet business and reporting requirements
• Prepare audit working papers, schedules, and accounting memos as required
• Prepare financial statements as required
• Coordinating or assisting with the budget and forecasting processes
• Special projects as required
Qualifications
• CPA CA is a must
• Demonstrate adaptability to change, strong willingness to learn, and to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills are a must
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and application of accounting standards
• Excellent management and organizational skills
• Skilled verbal and written communication
• Stock Exchange experience preferred
