The Professional Relations Consultant is responsible for promoting Vision Group’s services to a network of eye care providers.

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the inventory manager oversees all aspects of inventory management within the organization, which include optimizing inventory levels, cost calculations, and analyzing data for forecast demand. The ideal candidate must be both hands-on and a business partner, autonomous and self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic entrepreneurial environment. Your tasks at a glance

  • You act as the internal point of reference for all inventory matters, liaise with all department mandates by managing effective and efficient communication.
  • You focus on identifying cost-saving opportunities, ensure effective management of inventory by acting as a safeguard to monitor consumption, control waste, and mitigate obsolescence.
  • You plan, develop, and implement data-driven inventory methods.
  • You develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track inventory performance and cost metrics.
  • You manage the transfer pricing process.
  • You act as a business partner inventory advisor with the Procurement team on supplier agreements.
  • You perform various analyses to explain and justify discrepancies (e.g., cost variance analysis, inventory turnover, obsolescence, ABC analysis).
  • You manage the year-end audit requirements (e.g., consumables analysis, inventory controls).
  • You prepare and monitor the budget, forecast, and financial metrics to determine optimal inventory levels for various categories and locations.
  • You propose and implement ways to reduce business risk and report them to the Director of Accounting.
  • You manage a small team of financial analysts, including fostering a good team spirit and employee development.

A clear view of your assets

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • You hold a certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM) or a relevant finance certification (e.g., CPA, CMA).
  • You possess a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in inventory management, with a strong emphasis on the financial aspects.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a team leader.
  • You have a proven track record of optimizing inventory levels, reducing cost, and improving inventory control processes.
  • You have previous experience as a supply chain specialist or in a similar field. You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage financial data for informed decision-making.
  • Your knowledge of Microsoft NAV & BI360 is considered as an asset.
  • Your experience in the health or medical industry would be an asset. You are proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
