Your responsibilities in a few words!Supervise accounting operations as well as team members responsible for billing, collections, accounts payable and payroll – Prepare monthly financial statements – Ensure data accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and procedures – Coordinate efforts to investigate, dispute and resolve short payments and withholdings on remittances – Oversee day-to-day cash flow – Prepare monthly cash flow projections based on financial forecasts – Direct all month-end procedures – Ensure adequate funding and expense control in support of foreign operations – Ensure that the company complies with all governmental requirements, and regulatory reporting requirements – Guide the year-end closing process and the preparation of files for external accountants – Maintain impeccable internal controls – Protect accounts receivable by overseeing credit decisions and receivables insurance – Develop business processes and accounting policies – Collaborate with the IT department on innovation projects aimed at automating manual accounting activities, Align all accounting procedures – Establish best practices to maximize potential and successfully integrate the new ERP system – Support the President with ad hoc financial analyses to help guide business decisions Your assets for this position!Hold a CPA designation MBA (asset) Minimum 10 years' combined global experience in accounting and finance, including 5 years with supervision In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Experience in financial statement creation, general ledger functions and closing processes Excellent skills in the use and administration of accounting software Advanced knowledge of Excel and global database management Experience with ERP systems and implementations (an asset) Strong leadership, organizational and analytical skills Bilingualism: clear English (spoken and written) and functional French SummaryAn ideal opportunity for a professional, entrepreneurial, proactive and committed individual with a solid understanding of accounting principles, the retail sector and an in-depth knowledge of financial statements.
