Job Description

SeekersGuidance is looking for a Finance Coordinator with strong project management, financial management, and process and control skills. Key Job Parameters: Part-time (minimum 15 hours a week)Location: Toronto, Canada area preferred with access to SeekersGuidance Canada CentreRemuneration: Commensurate with qualifications and experienceThis critical position has primary objectives being the streamlining and maintenance of a sound financial framework through the adherence to required regulatory and reporting responsibilities.Undertaking financial assessment and accurately projecting financial trajectory to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization through:Defined internal financial processes & controls.Timely and accurate record keeping, including updated dashboards and data for Management.Effective cash flow management and monitoring.Budgeting: keeping track of and measuring financial condition, ensuring the accuracy of revenue and expenditure processes & projections, factoring in operational deficits, etc.Internal financial reporting and updates.Regulatory Financial Reporting and Record Keeping with established and approved external accounting firm(s).Coordination for all Tax Filing and Reporting.Coordinating on all all external financial audit requirements.Supporting the Operational Director in reporting all audit responsibilities, budget review, budget performance assessment, review of financial statements as prepared by the external auditors, approval of budget for the next fiscal year, etc.Undertaking all required external liaison and representation with concerned entities including but not limited to the Canada Revenue Agency, etc.Work closely with the Development department in a collaborative capacity to ensure that all funding acquisition and sustainability campaigns are aligned with current and periodic financial needs.Provide strategic and consultative advice to manage and monitor such campaigns. Qualifications: Degree in accounting or finance, CPA is preferredFinancial management experience in the Charitable / Not-for-Profit sector preferredHighly developed Project Management experience and skillEffective people manager, open to direction with a collaborative work style and an unflinching commitment to getting the job done in a fast-paced, dynamic community service contextExcellent communication and interpersonal skills3-5 years experience in a finance or accounting roleGet Free Courses & Prophetic Guidance in Your Inbox
