Role Description

Position Objective:

Partner with Key Stakeholders and Business Partners to align business priorities, expense tracking and drive effective solutions/execution. This role is responsible for budgeting and forecasting, project tracking and management reporting for the North America Region. This role is also responsible for consolidating the financial performance of the Regions operations and provide meaningful variance commentary.

Role & Responsibilities:

Operate as the finance partner for assigned area.

Use Dynamic planning principles to anticipate future performance development and work with brand leads to identify underlying levers and develop strategies to address opportunities and challenges.

Ensure internal reporting has been set up to meet the needs of the business Commercial and Leadership Team, and update reporting to meet needs where required

Co-ordinate timely and accurate submission of key forecasts to the global team

Update planning systems and ensure accuracy of Net Sales forecasts and expense budgets

Review sales performance, examine revenue trends and assess market conditions on an on-going basis

Prepare analyses on discounts and deductions to ensure accuracy of deductions forecasts

Maintain an updated list of GtN assumptions

Calculate pricing triggers and potential requirements based upon proposed pricing actions and maintain a list of pressure tested Gross to Net assumptions.

Prepare presentations and analyses for Monthly Performance Reviews and forecast submissions

Support team with business analysis, reports and insights to provide pro-active business decision support and steer business performance

Develop ROI models to evaluate the efficiency of investments and to compare the efficiency of several different investments

Meet with key strategic members to discuss their financial results, understand things that are happening in their area, and advise on financial matters

Provide value-added reporting including mix analysis and develop ad hoc analysis to facilitate timely decision making to support business performance

Challenge processes and the status quo, leading changes in current norms to drive improvements

Complete ad hoc requests from key strategic members to help decision making

Work with the business and management to develop and update sales forecasts, and work with commercial partners to ensure forecast accuracy KPIs are met

Analyze full P&L variances between budgets, forecasts and actual results and complete monthly reports

Work with the business stakeholders to provide analysis of sales and expenses. This will include both historic trends and future expectations for ex-factory sales and cost vs activities.

Proactively work together with Commercial Excellence team to evaluate ex-factory sales forecasts for production.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with partners and stakeholders.

Provide on-going support & communication within Finance team.

Provide the BU leader with up to date analysis on business performance and market dynamics

Pharmacovigilance & Compliance with Adverse Events

Recognize that PV cases may come to your knowledge in this role and fulfil the responsibility to forward any adverse event and patient safety cases to the local Pharmacovigilance department in accordance with company policies.

General:

Ensure compliance with appropriate SOP’s, policies and guidelines.

Complete mandatory training in assigned timelines upon hire as well as when new policies, SOP's, guidances are issued.

Participate in personal development and training sessions as required for the position.

Work in a safe manner that does not endanger yourself or co-workers. Report any health or safety concerns (internal and external) in compliance with LEO policy and standard procedures.

Execute other duties as may be required by Executive team members and other members of LEO Pharma’s Management team as training and experience allow.

Working Conditions

This role will require time spent travelling up to 10% of the time

In this role there may be extended periods of time standing, walking, or sitting.

The job requires significant amounts of time on electronic devices and tools such as i-Pad, cell phone, computer, which requires manual dexterity.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, accounting or a related area required.

3 to 5 years related experience in the finance function.

Current accounting designation within Canada, or working towards accounting designation.

Strong technical competence.

Sound knowledge of the pharmaceutical or consumer healthcare environment an asset

Demonstrated Project Management skills and abilities

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work successfully with senior management

Strong ability to solve problems and come up with innovative solutions

Solid analytical and numerical abilities

Results-oriented attitude

Highly organized with attention to detail

Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products; advanced user in Excel.

Works independently and completes tasks with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated ability to act with a high level of efficiency, integrity and confidentiality
