As a Finance Business Partner, I am a member of a versatile and innovative Finance team whose objective is to contribute to the creation of value within the organization in collaboration with the operational teams. My responsibility is to support the operational management teams and oversee the accounting and financial operations for the entities and divisions based in Montreal. Under the supervision of the Controller - Operational Finance, my key role in the accounting process involves close collaboration with the Finance and Operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for participating in the accounting and financial process from start to finish;
  • Responsible for the closing process and ensuring the accuracy of the accounts;
  • Prepare and present monthly and annual company reviews;
  • Responsible for the annual budget exercise and monitoring performance against it, liaising with operations management teams and supporting and guiding decisions;
  • Ensure that all statutory and management reporting requirements are met, in collaboration with team members;
  • Support operations management teams in understanding and making decisions related to CAPEX expenses;
  • Track and ensure the accuracy of CAPEX expenses related to accounting;
  • Participate in the development, integration and improvement of financial systems and processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Between 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience with multi-legal companies;
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Knowledge of Canadian sales and corporate taxes;
  • Knowledge of Sage 300 ERP (an asset).

This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
