The Team

The Finance Business Analyst will join the Finance - Global Technical operations team based at the Cambridge office with flexibility to work on a hybrid basis. The Finance Business Analyst will be required to support the Head of Global FP&A Technical Operations and Finance Business Partner to achieve in several areas;

Global Inventory management, reporting and budgeting

Global SWO management, reporting and budgeting

Target setting

Business Case preparation

Process and Performance Improvement

Data Validation and analysis

Role and Responsibilities

The Finance Business Analyst will take accountability for the specific areas listed above, but the team will be expected to work as ‘one’ supporting one another as required and flexing where the need is most to ensure that all objectives are met and workloads are balanced. Other responsibilities of the role include:

Global Inventory & SWO Management

Communicate to senior management a robust set of global inventory budget and actual results supported by analytics and insights at both true cost and transfer pricing in full alignment with Supply Chain

Assist in running the budget, Mid-Year Estimate and actual inventory collection process

Monthly actual reporting of bottom up SKU level global inventory results

Stock provisions are carried out monthly by entity for both Mundipharma warehouses and for any ‘in scope’ stock at Distributors. There are ‘no surprises’ at quarter ends

Inventory risks and opportunities are surfaced and discussed with Supply Chain and acted upon in good time

Produce a rolling monthly year end inventory projection aligned and validated with Supply Chain

Process and Performance Improvement

Data Validation

Working Cross-Functionally - Work closely in teams with other functions (e.g. Commercial, Procurement, Technical Operations, FSSC, central and regional finance teams) to ensure data is complete, consistent and accurate and that it is handled efficiently and effectively to avoid duplication or gaps in the analysis performed to assist the business in making the right decisions

What you’ll bring

Qualified, part-qualified or studying towards an Accounting Qualification E.g. ACCA, ACA or CIMA

Experience of using Finance systems, preferably in pricing tools, Oracle, Tagetik, Tableau.

Previous experience in Inventory Management and optimising inventory levels

Experience of working in a matrix and cross-functional environment

Experience of working within a relevant industry and inventory and SWO management preferable

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining focus on delivery

Strong fluency with Financial Analytical Tools

Comprehensive analytical and data gathering skills

Financial modelling experience and understanding

Ideally have experience in use of Data Visualization tools such as Power Bi and Power Query

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work efficiently and meet deadlines

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Agile and adaptable to specific requirements of the business needs
