Position OverviewJoin Stallion Express as a vital team member in the role of Finance and Payroll Specialist. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring smooth payroll operations and financial processes. From managing accounts receivable and payable to guaranteeing compliance with tax regulations, you will play a pivotal role in accurate payroll processing, ensuring adherence to federal and provincial regulations.Responsibilities:Manage accounts receivable processes, including customer invoicing, monitoring payment schedules, and addressing overdue accountsManage accounts payable activities, process supplier invoices, ensure timely payments, and nurture vendor relationshipsMonitor cash flow related to accounts receivable and payable to maintain healthy cash flowGenerate regular reports on AR and AP status, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and other relevant metricsEnsure compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing accounts receivable and payable, including tax regulationsOverseeing accurate and timely payroll processing for all employeesEnsure compliance with federal and provincial payroll laws and regulations, including tax withholding, reporting, and filing requirementsPrepare provincial worker's compensation returns as required for Ontario, British Columbia, and QuebecCompiling year-end requirements, including processing and reporting for T4, T4A, taxable benefits, EHT, WSIB and submitting government filings in a timely mannerIdentify opportunities to streamline payroll processes and enhance efficiencyAddress employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including discrepancies and tax-related queriesManage the E.O.R platform and process payroll for the U.S. warehouse team based in New YorkQualification:Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Canada designation2-3 years of experience post-PCP designationExperience in payroll management and complianceWorking knowledge of payroll processing, tax principles, wage & hours legislationProficiency in managing end-to-end payables and receivables processesExperience in logistics/shipping and e-commerce industries is advantageousExperience working with platforms including Plooto, Dext, ADP, and Zoho is preferred.Knowledge of U.S. payroll procedures and regulations is a plusAbout Us:Stallion Express is a Toronto-based company specializing in logistics solutions for online sellers.
