Your responsibilities:
Direct the field labour force and support personnel in accordance with volume of sales to meet or exceed customer expectations for scheduling and execution of elevator project work
Plan, direct and coordinate employee assignments, visually monitor employee performance on projects to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and budgets
Ensure all employees comply with safety procedures as set out by company policy and provincial Health and Safety Act. Investigate any work-related accident/incident/near misses
Oversee project processes, providing technical assistance as required
Work in coordination with property managers, designated managers, and owners to meet or exceed contractual obligations
Participate in the recruiting and training of field and support personnel as required
Actively support the Sales Team with site surveys and recommendations for technical improvements on a variety of products
Survey existing projects for ordering of materials in alignment with the project schedule
Ensure availability of materials, tools, equipment, etc., incidental to Projects
Maintain current knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology
Provide exceptional customer service and communication
Take ownership of work-related issues
Your qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of operational / field experience in the capacity of mechanic in the elevator Industry
Must be a Certified Elevator Mechanic “Class A” under the TSBC or an equivalent AHJ standard
A proven and demonstrated practical understanding of the B-44 Elevator Code
A proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, documents and specifications
Competent in the care, use and application of all tools integral to the Elevator Industry
Competent in the use of basic business software and hardware
A combination of experience and/or professional designations within the industry and a willingness to maintain and seek out required designations
A desire to learn, maintain and expand knowledge of all aspects of elevator technology; both mechanical and electrical
Experience with multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple projects
Must be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Requires demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of employee and customer, internal and external
