Job Description

As a Field Inspector you will perform facilitate continuous improvement of inspection programs, processes, and operations, ensuring our assets operate in an efficient and safe manner. Your goal will be to conduct and manage inspection activities, under the guidance of the Area Inspector, to ensure that all assets are fit for continued service while also ensuring internal integrity processes and procedures are maintained and followed. Paid Vacation – Plus an annual option to purchase additional vacation, too Wellness Support – With 24/7 access to our Employee & Family Assistance ProgramYour Responsibilities:Assess the condition of equipment and fixed assets, recommend and advocate solutions.Work with cross-functional teams (RBI, engineers, technical) to develop inspection strategies for fixed equipment including inspectors and maintenance engineers to find root causes for asset integrity problems.Working with the area lead inspector, monitor the status of inspection intervals and equipment plans set by the RBI, PM and P&PVI group teams.Ensure that all asset integrity processes and procedures are maintained and followed.Provide inspection coverage for major and maintenance projects.Participate in on call rotationEvaluate data involving the use of corrosion rates, remaining life, level 1 fitness for service, and RBI.Maintain reporting and record keeping to department policy and standards.Your Skills:Strong analytical skills; you enjoy getting to the root cause of issues and creating plans to address them.Experience dealing with multiple priorities and deadlines.Strong technical report writing skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.Education and experience4-7 years of experience in an industrial plant or refinery setting considered an asset.Knowledge of the API certifications 570, 571, 510 or 653, and / or NDE certifications would be an asset.Must have a Class 5 Driver’s License.
