Location: 530 West Broadway, Vancouver BC, Canada Core hours: Monday to Friday from 8am – 4:30pm PSTThis position is required to be onsite 5 days a weekRole SummaryAs the Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of two Vancouver-based locations - a 15,000 sq. ft. office space and a 24,000 sq. ft. warehouse. In this role, you will conduct repairs and maintenance, meet with contractors and vendors, and troubleshoot and resolve issues. Reporting to the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will also liaise regularly with the Office Services Team and Director of Operational Excellence.ResponsibilitiesRespond to assigned maintenance requests through the Facilities ticketing system and report on completed requestsWith the direction of the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician, conduct plumbing, electrical, furniture, painting, and drywall repairsPerform scheduled, preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance as requiredMaintain and ensure the proper operation of the electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire/life/safety components at each Eminence location and conduct building walkthroughs to identify general corrective maintenanceAlong with the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician, respond to after-hours emergency calls and carry the Facilities cell phoneBuild and maintain strong relationships with our vendors, ensure tasks are complete, and report progress to the Lead Facilities Maintenance TechnicianEnsure janitorial services are maintained and daily cleaning responsibilities are carried out in accordance with checklists and agreements Assist the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician in ensuring waste removal services are conducted as scheduledParticipate in the Health and Safety Committee to ensure compliance with health and safety regulationsSupport the Lead Facilities Maintenance Technician with the operation of security and building systemsPhysical Requirement Must be able to lift 30 lbs. comfortably and regularlyComfortable working on ladders at various heights QualificationsSuccessfully completed, or in the process of completing, WHMIS, BOMA, IMFA, or Building Services Worker Program 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance 1 to 2 years of experience working alongside vendors and contractors Experience supporting maintenance requests within an office environmentSkilled with the use of tools, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and paintingDemonstrate responsibility and ownership - ability to see things through and manage tasks and projects to completionStrong customer service focus Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work with a sense of urgencySuperior analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well with minimal supervision and with many styles of direct leadershipTotal Rewardssalary, quarterly and annual bonuses based on individual and company goalsemployer-paid premiums for extended health, health spending account, wellness program, green transportation incentive, various paid time-off options available from your first day, and product discountson professional development, 1:1 meetings with your leader, tuition assistance program and length of service rewardsThe Application Please submit a resume with a cover letter.Closing date for applications: Wednesday, May 15th, 2024 at 9pm PST.
