This dynamic company, a top 100 employer is searching for a Facilities Maintenance Supervisors to oversee their team of mechanics on the manufacturing floor.Your New RoleThe Maintenance Supervisor plans, organizes, and supervises the work of employees under their responsibility. They ensure compliance with health and safety rules, as well as good food production practices, but not limited to these. Additionally, the supervisor is responsible for carrying out maintenance activities during their shift and adjusting the schedule for their shift and the night shift in case of production schedule changes. Finally, they are tasked with advancing various aspects of the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program’s PM pillar.Ensure the smooth operation of the department, including managing priorities and unforeseen events.Manage the maintenance team in accordance with the collective agreement, internal policies, and applicable laws.Ensure a safe working environment and efficient and secure work methods.Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with employees in their department and other areas of activity.Maintain a high level of communication and engagement within the team.Provide technical support to maintenance personnel for corrective work, diagnostics following line breakdowns, or new installations.Manage inventory of parts in the store and the parts and service procurement process.Analyze breakdowns to identify root causes and propose improvements or modifications to eliminate recurrence and increase reliability.Plan maintenance work and schedules for maintenance personnel.Implement and maintain a service-oriented culture to quickly address operational and organizational needs.Conduct team meetings to communicate objectives and results.Validate and authorize regular hours and overtime allocations to reduce labor costs.Act as an expert regarding specific needs related to the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program.Utilize and optimize computer programs (including CMMS) to facilitate data interpretation and recording of performance metricsWhat You Need to Succeed in This RoleSuccess in this position requires a Bachelor's degree or DEC in facilities management, engineering, operations management and a minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisor or manager role in an industrial or commercial real estate environment. This role requires full bilingualism and excellent written and oral communication skills.
