We are looking for a Facilities Engineer (Mechanical / Integrated) to join our growing team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, quality, development and manufacturing, to understand their needs and translate them into actionable items; and to drive continuous improvement and ensure product quality and reliability. Your expertise in engineering, problem-solving, and design will play a crucial role in advancing our product and manufacturing development.

What you will do:

  • Installation, commissioning, preventative and reactive maintenance of building and plant equipment (including but not limited to: building systems, HVAC & dehumidification systems, vacuum gloveboxes, custom electrochromic window production equipment, compressed air systems, plumbing/pipe fitting, general carpentry) .
  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, manufacturers, and salespeople .
  • Support Engineers in design and build of specialized and custom equipment to support the research and development of electrochromic windows and the development of a scalable manufacturing processes for the windows.
  • Diagnose equipment issues and recommend improvements for equipment operation, with the ability to provide and implement solutions, checking design drawings, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment.
  • Order parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Follow plant safety procedures and guidelines including lock out / tag out procedures.
  • Write project plans and be responsible for end-to-end execution of projects, including scope, schedule and budget.
  • Collaborate effectively with the R&D, materials, testing, development, and integration teams, sharing knowledge, insights, and progress updates regularly.
  • Routinely report progress to various departments and stakeholders via slide decks and/or short, efficient meetings.
  • Potential opportunity to be involved in the design and construction of Miru’s new Demonstration Plant facility.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Integrated Engineering or similar.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret complex data, draw actionable conclusions, and implement changes.
  • Excellent hands on experience.
  • Experience and proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks & AutoCAD preferred) for designing and modeling equipment components.
  • Experience working proactively and autonomously.
  • Ability to managing multiple projects on a timely basis.
  • Availability to work full-time on-site at our Olympic Village facility, including possibility of early morning, late evening or weekend shift work.
  • High regard for safety.
  • Familiarity with electrochromic materials and devices (advantageous but not mandatory).

Work Schedule and Compensation:

  • Ability to work full-time on-site at our Olympic Village facility.
  • Salary range: $75k to $105k annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
