EA SPORTS creates connected experiences that ignite the emotion of sport through industry-leading sports video games, including Madden NFL football, EA Sports FC soccer, NHL hockey, and EA SPORTS UFC.Our Advanced Technology Group is part of the EA SPORTS Technology organization, focusing on identifying and creating new, scalable technologies for game teams. We are looking for close collaboration with game teams, central art teams, and the Frostbite engine team; though the technologies developed can apply to many different engines, environments, and hardware platforms. You will work on our strategic, multi-year projects focused on improved creation pipelines and runtime functionality, both users facing and internal, for all EA SPORTS titles.As an Experience Designer, you will report to the Advanced Technology Group’s Experience Design Lead. As a member of this team, you will apply your UX expertise to design state-of-the-art tools for game developers across EA SPORTS. You will also design new and innovative player facing customization experiences for EA SPORTS titles.When applying for this role, please include your resume and updated portfolio (with password if necessary).Your Responsibilities:Design digital content creation tools (DCC) for internal teams of artists and designers at EA.Design new player facing customization experiences for EA SPORTS titles.Work closely with artists, designers, engineers and producers to solicit feedback, iterate on designs and improve the experience.Distill user research, competitive analysis and stakeholder feedback into design goals.Work with and contribute to existing design systems.Your Qualifications:4+ years of experience in a UX role designing and shipping products.Experience designing for multiple platforms: web, mobile and game console.Experience building prototypes to validate flows, interactions and interfaces.Experience working in a highly technical environment.An understanding of 2D and 3D content creation tools and how they are used for game development.Ability to present and communicate designs effectively to stakeholders.Proficient with Figma.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with a game engine such as Frostbite, Unreal or UnityExperience with 3D software such as Maya.Experience with front end development technologies such as Javascript, CSS and Storybook would be a bonus.Solid visual design skills.Have a passion for sports and games.Ceci ne s’applique pas au Québec.BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.BASE SALARY RANGES• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):º $96,400 - $133,900 CAN AnnuallyBase salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
