Job Title: Expeditor Job Summary: The Expeditor will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials, components, and products throughout the production and supply chain processes. This role involves coordinating with various departments, suppliers, and vendors to expedite orders, minimize delays, and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules and customer demands. Key Responsibilities: Order Management: Review and monitor purchase orders and production schedules to identify potential delays and bottlenecks. Communicate with suppliers and vendors to confirm order status, expedite delivery, and resolve any issues that may arise. Coordination: Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely availability of materials. Collaborate with inventory control to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock situations. Problem Solving: Identify and address potential issues that could impact production timelines, including supply chain disruptions and quality control problems. Develop and implement solutions to mitigate delays and ensure continuous production flow. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of order statuses, communication with suppliers, and any adjustments made to delivery schedules. Prepare and present regular reports on production progress, material availability, and potential risks to management. Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain performance. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to recommend and implement innovative expediting strategies. Experience: Proven experience as an Expeditor or in a similar role within a Oil & Gas / Supply Chain Environment. Familiarity with supply chain processes, procurement, and logistics.
