We are ready to expand our presence and take on the world, but we could use some marketing expertise to get there.As a result of recent growth, we are seeking an Events Coordinator. The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing company events in alignment with OpsGuru’s business objectives. We strive to be the most strategic and inventive event marketing team in the industry. If executed well, our events will transform how prospects and clients perceive our brand, and drive pipeline. Role and ResponsibilitiesAssist with the planning and execution of both our external in-person and digital event strategy, positioning OpsGuru as a market leader, to drive engagement and opportunities for sales across North America Plan and execute the logistics of our in-person events, such as invitations, registrations, check-ins, catering, entertainment, etc. Work cross-functionally in collaboration with our sales, alliance, customer success and product teams and/or other stakeholders to develop memorable, unique client events and experiences (in-person and virtual) Sourcing, negotiating, coordinating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and venues. Negotiate contracts with outside caterers, suppliers and venues. Research and source venues that are on-brand and deliver a ‘wow’ factor for customersWebinar coordination including driving event registration, planning meetings, rehearsals, prep sessions, creation of run sheets, liaison with webcast providers, technical and live webcast support Assist with pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs with sales and other internal teams Coordinate touchpoints with all stakeholders involved, including both large and intimate groups of people from all levels of the organization Collaborate with internal departments to ensure that digital marketing material/content copy is submitted, produced, proofed and delivered according to set schedule Coordinate all required printing, signage, etc. as required for each event Coordinate onsite staff to ensure smooth logistical execution Track data on overall event objectives and impact (ROI), attendance/traffic, qualified leads and post-event conversion from the sales team Arrange for proper employee participation and staffing at events Keep up to date on industry trends with an eye for implementing new ideas/experiences and improving the event management process Skills and Qualifications3+ years’ proven experience in event planning and coordination, with strong organizational skillsStrong leadership, communication, logic, innovation, and collaboration skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, vendors, and various internal teamsDetail-oriented and the ability to manage multiple projects at onceAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesKnowledge of event planning software and toolsKnowledge of technology platforms and tools for virtual events and/or the ability to learn new software for web conferencing (e.g. Zoom, Google Video, Swoogo, etc.) Bachelors or postgraduate degree in hospitality management, event planning, or a related field (preferred but not required)As an employer, OpsGuru, a Carbon60 Company, recognizes the importance of balancing our careers with other aspects of our lives, and our culture reflects this ethos - from flexible work hours to health and wellness incentives and having fun along the way.
