One of the leading construction businesses in Canada, working on building projects of c£1m to £150m, are looking to recruit an Estimating Manager from the UK, for their business in Vancouver.
Established over 40 years ago, this particular organisation is 100% employee owned and is proud to be a 'B-Corp' business, as well as being one of the countries fastest growing builders.
From a relocation perspective, the good news is that they have lots of experience recruiting from the UK, so they can handle the visa/work permit process with you and in make the transition as smooth as possible for you/any family.
They will also provide financial support to assist with any relocation.
The Role
The Estimating Manager/Chief Estimator is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing all estimating functions within the business.
You'll provide management, support and assistance to the estimating team and will be responsible for the overall performance, leadership, mentorship and effectiveness of the team.
Your duties will include:
- Oversight/development of all bids.
- Review project estimates to establish accuracy and completeness.
- Provide technical support to all estimators.
- Lead the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Participate in pre-bid, bid strategy and presentation meetings.
In order to be successful, you'll need a track record on a range of commercial, public sector, healthcare, or industrial building projects, valued at a minimum of £30m+.
