The position of Environmental Specialist - In short
Groupe Alphard is looking for an intermediate to senior environmental specialist to support its growingteam at our offices in Montreal, Brossard, Quebec or Saguenay.
This opportunity provides a position with the potential for technical leadership growth for someone withestablished experience as an environmental professional, and this in a team-oriented environment.
The candidate will report to the Environment Group Team Leader and will support a wide range of mandates.His role will involve coordinating field inventories, carrying out technical studies as well as writinghigh quality reports and preparing authorization requests.
Main responsibilities:
- Work within a multidisciplinary team and respecting the budgetand schedule
- Prepare / coordinate and revise technical reports on variousenvironmental components
- Coordination of sampling programs
- Supervision of site personnel who carry out various samples
- Prepare requests for certificates of authorization and otherenvironmental permits
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in theenvironment field
- Contribute to the development of Groupe Alphard by providingsupport in all areas of the company: company visibility,customer development, human resources management, projectmanagement.
The job profile:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the environment(engineering, geology, biology, environmental management,etc.)
- Member of his respective professional order
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of environmentalconsulting, drafting of a request for a certificate ofauthorization
- In-depth knowledge of relevant provincial and federal laws,regulations and policies
- Required skills in project management, with an ability tofollow deadlines, respect budget and quality
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with team members and alsoindependently
