Become part of our global network of skilled engineers, scientists, auditors, planners, and environmental specialists, all working together to leave this world better than we found it.Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:Developing and managing a portfolio of projects & clientsDeveloping business with new clientsExpanding business with existing clientsDirecting technical work (contaminated sites investigations, hazardous material surveys on projects, and supervising junior and intermediate staff)Issuing reports and liaising with clientsWorking in cooperation with a multi-disciplinary project team to complete projects incorporating contaminated sites investigation and remediation, solid waste management, building decommissioning, and waste discharge permittingCompiling, analyzing, and evaluating data using the application of engineering principles and problem-solving skills under the supervision of a project managerPreparing technical documents, including draft work plans, reports, and correspondenceDeveloping technical designs, including design reports, specifications, drawings, and tender documentsPreparing project support documents, including health and safety plansCommunicating with vendors and contractorsAdministering contracts and controlling costsManaging and overseeing field work, including environmental monitoring, drilling oversight, and remediation contractor oversightResearching, reviewing, and understanding provincial and federal acts and regulationsLeading design and project management meetingsPreparing and issuing proposalsOther duties as assigned/requiredWhat you will bring to this role: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental EngineeringDesignation with APEGA or eligible for designation5-10 years of consulting experience in the environmental field in ABExcellent project management skillsFocused on growing the practice and expanding clientele under the direction of the Team Lead and Business Group LeaderProficient with the provincial and federal (CCME) guidelines for contaminated sites assessmentsExperience with submissions for provincial regulatory instruments such as a Certificate of Compliance, Approval in Principle, or a DeterminationExperience with investigation of federal sites (CCME guidelines)Experience with supervision of junior and intermediate staffA motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environmentDetail-oriented and organizedExcellent oral and written communication skills, as well as technical writing abilities#J-18808-Ljbffr
