Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to join our Resilience Team in Calgary, Alberta. More specifically, the potential Project Manager will join our Evaluation and Restoration (ER) Division. As a Project Manager within our ER division, individuals with direct experience dealing with Contaminated Sites, Site Remediation, and Monitoring will be required, as well as direct experience with the coordination and management of environmental site assessment projects including:
Using both provincial and federal regulatory frameworks, diligent interpretation of environmental data, the comparison of sample results to applicable standards/guidelines, and data QA/QC, along with industry best practices is expected. The successful candidate will join a growing team to provide project management, technical support, and leadership. The Project Manager will support, mentor intermediate and junior staff with a focus on health and safety, team collaboration, high-quality work, innovation, efficiency, and focused client relationship. The successful candidate will also work with other like-minded individuals to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations.
The Project Manager is a hybrid role with the option to work remotely or at one of our Arcadis offices. Be responsible for ensuring that site/client project management (non-technical) objectives are defined and met (i.e., scope, schedule, cost). Prepare, and review reports, work plans, specifications, and proposals; manage technical budgets and provide oversight of intermediate and junior staff work for regulatory compliance and technical accuracy, QA/QC. Contribute to ongoing technical knowledge and innovation initiatives within Arcadis.
Individuals with working knowledge and experience in environmental compliance and associated guidelines/legislation for provincial and federal requirements including CCME. Direct experience working at contaminated sites such as:
Experience working for clients in industrial, development, and federal and provincial government sectors. Proven ability to design and implement field programs; analyze data, write reports, provide quality control and assurance and present results to clients. This includes experience with responding to Requests for Proposals, Expressions of Interests, and Statements of Qualifications. Excellence in communication and collaboration skills that facilitate detailed planning, timely decision-making, and efficient implementation is a must. Valid driver’s license required. Willing to travel to project sites and meetings as required. Individuals with Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) and/or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation in Alberta are preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, Engineering or related field. 5+ years of direct experience with respect to Contaminated Sites and Site Remediation. Direct experience within the fields of Engineering, Geoscience, and Technology with a focus on Site Investigations, Remediation, Risk Management, and Environmental Monitoring. Professionals must be able to sign off reports and be in good standing in accordance with Alberta regulations.
