Co-op students
and new graduates

Thurber hires co-op students from engineering programs across Canada. Our co-op students spend time in the field and lab applying what they’ve learned in school to real-life projects.

Co-op students and new graduates have access to Thurber’s multidisciplinary professionals who provide mentorship during the co-op term.

In British Columbia, students and new graduates can take part in our Young Professionals group to network and get support from peers.

Thurber is active in various industry groups including the Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA), Women in Consulting Engineering (WCE), Canadian Society of Civil Engineering (CSCE),Association of Consulting Engineering Companies British Columbia (ACEC-BC), and the Canadian Geotechnical Society (CGS). We are part of the Canadian Underground Infrastructure InnovationCentre (CUIIC), a cross-Canada research centre based at the University of Alberta. We participate in and sponsor numerous conferences and engineering organizations across the country.
