Job Description: Environmental and Regulatory PlannerLocation: Canada Company Overview: Brunel has partnered with a leading Oil and Gas company, and embarking on a large project located in Northern Canada. We are committed to providing innovative solutions that balance economic development with environmental protection.Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Environmental and Regulatory Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental planning and regulatory compliance on large scale reclamation and remediation projects, with specific experience in Northern Canada or Alaska. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Responsibilities:Conduct environmental assessments and impact studies for a closure project in Northern Canada.Develop and implement environmental management plans to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Coordinate with government agencies, indigenous communities, and other stakeholders to obtain permits and approvals.Provide technical expertise and support to project teams on environmental issues.Stay current on environmental regulations and best practices applicable to the region.Participate in public consultations and stakeholder engagement activities.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, biology, or related field.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in environmental planning and regulatory compliance, preferably in Northern Canada or Alaska.Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes in the region.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience working with indigenous communities is an asset.Benefits:Competitive compensation.Opportunities for professional development and advancement.Flexible work environment with the option for remote work.If you are a motivated and experienced environmental professional looking for a rewarding career opportunity, we encourage you to apply.
