University or College degree/diploma preferably in one of the following areas: Industrial
Hygiene, Risk Management, EH&S Management Program
Completion of or progress towards Part 1 & Part 2 H&S Certification an asset
Certification as a trainer or auditor for ISO, including WHMIS and IRS (Internal
Responsibility System) legislation is an asset
Experience with environmental or safety improvement projects in a manufacturing
setting is an asset
Solid comprehension of current health and safety and environmental legislation
Able to successfully communicate with all levels in the organization
Capable of effectively designing and delivering training programs
Possesses excellent organization skills essential for maintaining systems
Proven ability dealing with government agencies (MOL & MOE)
Previous supervisory managing a team of H&S professionals
Effective Project Management skills
Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good written and verbal communication skills
