This company is seeking a Product Manager for their Professional Lighting Division, focusing on rental, installation, architectural segments, and DJ retail product offerings. This role involves managing a portfolio of brands, including go-to-market strategy, purchasing, inventory, marketing, and supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the entertainment lighting industry, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment. Focus:

  • Managing brand segments and developing growth strategies.
  • Developing product pricing for the Canadian market.
  • Creating and executing product go-to-market strategies.
  • Conducting sales, profitability, and competitive analysis.
  • Overseeing inventory levels.
  • Managing the product lifecycle from SKU creation to product launch and retirement.
  • Developing close supplier relationships and maintaining open communication.
  • Liaising with sales representatives and suppliers.
  • Providing expertise in product applications, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Developing and coordinating marketing and communication activities.
  • Managing social media platforms, digital content, and e-commerce efforts.
  • Assisting in organizing trade shows, special events, and promotional events.

Skill Set:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience including brand management and product marketing.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience within the entertainment lighting industry.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing technical products.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to analyze and understand sales/financial numbers.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in digital marketing, lead, and content generation.
  • In-depth experience and strong knowledge of automated lighting in entertainment, theater, and architectural lighting segments.
  • Familiarity with the country-wide lighting market layout – rentals, integration, retail.
  • Strong knowledge of technology such as LED, optics, video, and control protocols.
  • Strategic understanding of the DJ retail lighting segment.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience, preferably with hands-on experience.
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or similar is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively under pressure.
  • Creative, organized, good judgment, results-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and JD Edwards/E1 is a plus.
  • Fully Bilingual (written and verbal) in French and English.
