The Role

Triplelift, a fast-growing startup tackling some of the most challenging problems in the world of digital advertising, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Analytics Manager to join our Data Science team. As the Manager for the Data Analytics team you will play a crucial role in analyzing ad inventory, bidding strategies, and performance metrics to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic decision-making aimed at maximizing revenue and Exchange efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization techniques, with a demonstrated history of recruiting and managing a team of exceptional data analysts. They would possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels. 

Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with Product Development, Data Science, Engineering, and Marketplace teams to ensure that data-driven insights are seamlessly integrated into Triplelift’s overarching strategy. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, driving the team towards excellence in data analytics and maintaining a high standard of analytical rigor within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, manage and mentor a proficient team of data analysts focused on analyzing data from the Triplelift exchange, and build the function into a center of excellence for data analytics across the organization
  • Lead by example, set strong precedents for the team, and implement effective  processes and practices to ensure consistent and effective delivery 
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage the team's workflow to ensure optimal productivity and timely completion of tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, data requirements, and analytical approaches, and help integrate data-driven insights into company strategy
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses, provide guidance on analytical techniques and best practices, and provide analytical support to various departments as needed
  • Develop and implement advanced analytical models and algorithms to extract meaningful, actionable, insights from data to inform strategic decision-making
  • Interpret and communicate findings through insightful reports, presentations, and data visualizations
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Data Analytics team
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of data infrastructure, including data collection, storage, and retrieval systems
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging trends, tools, and technologies in data analysis and data 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics). Master’s degree preferred. 
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, with 1+ years in a managerial capacity, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights and driving business impact
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, juggling managerial and IC responsibilities, while managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • High level of proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis
  • Familiarity with monitoring and measuring statistical modeling performance with ability to quickly build dashboards using tools like Grafana, Looker, etc
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Knowledge of AdTech platforms and industry trends is a plus

Education Requirement

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D in Computer Science or equivalent experience (>=M.S. preferred)
