Job Description Job Title:Emergency PhysicianWork Site:Richmond HospitalStatus:Locum, Full Time, Part TimeStart Date:July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024Compensation Type:Alternative Payment ArrangementCome work as an Emergency Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!Richmond Hospital is a busy 200+ bed community teaching hospital in the heart of the culturally diverse city of Richmond, BC. It is near the Vancouver airport and a short 20-minute drive to downtown Vancouver. We are part of Vancouver Coastal Health and we see approximately 60,000 ED visits per year. The hospital is fully supported by most services and within very close proximity to those services not on-site. In the Emergency Department, we currently have 29 full-time members as well as locums on staff and have 11 scheduled shifts per day. We see a diverse mix of both adult and paediatric patients. We are looking for interested emergency physicians to join our group as summer locums with the possibility of ongoing shifts thereafter.So why consider us?We are an engaged, collegial group with extremely supportive members. Over the years, we have fostered an excellent rapport with other departments and also maintain a healthy relationship with Administration.QualificationsEducation, Licensing, & Experience:Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) - DesiredCurrent College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License - ProvisionalCanadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) – Emergency Medicine - DesiredCanadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - EligiblePediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL)Interested in applying?
