Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout Prescott Russell and the Ottawa area. Candidates will be required to problem solve, work independantly or in a team setting and have good customer service skills.
This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and company vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to determine the layout of electrical wiring and equipment
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or malfunctions
- Diagnose electrical problems using testing devices and make necessary repairs or replacements
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Electrician or similar role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring methods
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Familiarity with low and high voltage systems is a plus
- Experience with fire alarm systems
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools required for electrical work
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
