Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in design and project management within MPE’s Electrical Team.This position requires an intermediate Electrical Technologist with three years of experience in Industrial/Municipal electrical & controls.Responsibilities:Electrical System Design including but not limited to:Power distribution and emergency backup (up to 750V).Lighting.Fire Alarm.Security, door access and controls.Communications and networking.Automation and Control.Providing technical assistance on multi-disciplinary projects.Application of applicable codes including the Canadian Electrical Code.Construction inspections to ensure design compliance.Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies and utility companies and contractors.Maintaining knowledge and understanding of safety policies and procedures.AutoCAD and Revit experience would be an asset.Qualifications:A two-year Diploma from a recognized college or technical school.Experience in the following:Industrial Controls Design, Installation and Programming.Commercial & Industrial Electrical Design.PLC and SCADA control systems, automation, programming, network design and implementation.Familiarity with most major instrument and electrical equipment vendors is a definite asset.Knowledge of the following HMI control packages is preferred: Rockwell FactoryTalk, Ignition and VT SCADA.Knowledge of Siemens, Schneider and Rockwell PLCs is preferred.Please submit resumes to:Eric Longchamp, C.E.T.Electrical & Controls ManagerWe thank all applicants in advance for submitting a resume, but only potential interview candidates will be contacted.Application Fields marked with an * are required Applying for this position * ID Number * First Name * Last Name * Email * Phone * Please upload your cover letter in PDF format.
