Job Summary
TheElectrical Site Supervisor will serve as the subject matter expert for E&I,Electrical installation and PLC commissioning in NA. The Electrical Site Supervisor will train,develop and manage a team of electrical installers and Commissioning Engineersthat each have the following skill set:
Understand Electrical drawings, lay-outs,
Deep understanding of the NewCold standard design for electrical installations,
Low voltage electrical wiring,
Sensors (e.g. proximity, photo eyes),
Motors (e.g. Movimot, Moviswitch, frequency inverter), PLCs, Material Handling Equipment (e.g. conveyor, ASRS)
The teamwill perform the electrical install, field test (I/O testing) and commissionprior to go live. Additionally, this team will be involved with training andthe creation of as built documentation after go live and the hand-over tooperations.
Members ofthe team will emulate (virtual factory) the MHE equipment (in Europe)
TheElectrical Site Supervisor is responsible for organizing and leading thirdparty suppliers for the electrical installation, IO testing and PLCcommissioning of all material handling equipment in the warehouse. It is alsoresponsible for following up on third party suppliers to solve issues and willneed to take the lead to get the installation up and running.
TheElectrical Site Supervisor will be responsible for support of all operationalsites in NA on PLC level.
The Electrical Site Supervisor is responsiblethat all activities mentioned above are properly planned, staffed and wellexecuted
Manage a team ofE&I Commissioning engineers,
Training of theNorth America E&I and commissioning team for ongoing development,coordination and scheduling utilization of the team across multiple sitesand projects.
Oversee theE&I/Commissioning process for new implementations and existing sites.
Lead theelectrical installation for new implementations and existing sites.
Oversee the zoneby zone start up and debug of highly automated equipment.
Increase anddevelop E&I and mechanical troubleshooting techniques within the team.
Develop methodstatements for the works on site relate to I/O testing and commissioning.
Find, select,contract electrical contractors for executing the electrical low voltageinstall on the MHE equipment.
Provide allnecessary tools and equipment for the team so they can properly and safelyexecute their works.
Participate withthe team in the I/O testing and commissioning works.
Coordinate andsolve mechanical issues with the MHE suppliers.
Provide reporting to the Project Team and the EuropeanManagement Team
Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical orMechanical)
Experience
3-5+ years ofMHE (material handling equipment) automated machinery or conveyorinstallation, start-up or commissioning experience
Site supervisionand project experience
Strong knowledgeof PLCs (Siemens preferred)
Willingness totravel 50% throughout North America (US and Canada)
