About your next Challenge as a Electrical or Electro-mechanical Engineering Technologist:
What will you do:
- Design and draft electrical assemblies using Zuken E3 Electrical;
- Draft electrical lock diagrams, schematics and cable assemblies to be compliant with task technical requirements;
- Work with manufacturing partners to introduce designs into production and solve related manufacturing issues;
- Diagnose problems with existing designs, propose and test design modifications;
- Assist with the Lead Engineer and/or Project Manager during design reviews;
- Maintain currency of Electrical/Electronic design best practices, methodologies, initiatives.
- Support and execute the day-to-day operations of the test site;
- Work closely with project management to set up and build project test sites;
- Support projects during design, assembly, hardware integration/testing, and acceptance phases;
- Set up and prepare equipment for testing;
- Perform hardware testing of systems as per test procedures;

- Set up and prepare equipment for testing;
- Perform hardware testing of systems as per test procedures;
- Apply knowledge of electronics to assemble electronic test jigs, hardware systems, and test sites using layout diagrams, schematics, and/or verbal instructions;
- Build wire harness assemblies;
- Perform complex and intricate wiring of chassis, consoles and enclosures;
- Comply with test site processes and work instructions;
- Review hardware and engineering documentation;
- Assist in developing policies and procedures for the test site to ensure safety, efficiency, and functionality;
- Follow safety policies and procedures for the test site and using a “safety first″ mindset;
- May be required to work overtime/weekends, at times;
- Assist with customer support requests via telephone and email, as well as on-site visits as required;
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned at any time.
- Travelling to customer sites (within Canada and abroad) on short notice up to one (1) month at a time;
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma or any other relevant field;
- 2-7 years of work experience;
- Capable of reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system block diagrams;
- Experience with CAD software (Zuken preferred) is an asset
- Advanced computer skills & Microsoft office Suite;
- Preferably certified one or more of the following courses:
- J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies;
- IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies;
- IPC/WHMA-A-620, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable/Wire Harness Assemblies;
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
- Must be eligible for registration with theControlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO SECRETsecurity clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
