Are you looking to settle in the beautiful, convenient, and affordable NiagaraRegion?CAN-ENG is a vibrant, medium-size Canadian company located in Niagara Falls Ontario with an international reputation for the design and manufacture of thermal processing equipment and associated material handling devices. To maintain our continued growth we require additional staff in key positions.ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING PROJECT LEADERSuccessful candidates must be able to lead and motivate a design team in the completion of projects that meet or exceed the customer’s expectations, within the budgeted time and cost. Responsibilities for projects begin at the pre-sales stage and continue into field commissioning.Duties include:PLC / HMI selection, programming and troubleshooting with a strong understanding of industrial networks and associated components (AB, Siemens, Ethernet, ProfiNet / ProfiBus etc)Automation controls integration experience with highly automated equipment.Robot Programming, Vision Systems and Reach Study experience considered an assetVariable Frequency Drive selection & integration; process controllers, field sensor selectionSub-contractor liaison and report writingProject planning & schedulingFamiliarity with Canadian and or American Electrical CodesPreparation & checking of engineering system drawings in the following areas of design – Power distribution, single line diagrams, bills of materials, control panel layouts and system interconnections.Specification writing & material demand releasesExperience with CAD design software such as AutoCAD or EPlan considered an assetApplicants should be willing to travel to the field periodically to assist in install or commissioning of his/her projects.Qualifications for the position are:One of: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a three year Engineering Technology diplomaStrong verbal and written communicationsOutstanding team working and organizational skillsPractical understanding of cost benefit analyses, equipment maintainability and operabilityCreativity and flexibility to adapt to constantly changing requirementsEligibility to hold a Canadian passport and able to travel the worldValid un-restricted driver’s licenseFamiliarity common core business software(s) such as Microsoft suite of productsJoin the CAN-ENG team and enjoy growth opportunities in our organization.
