Are you ready to design your future?Be our next Electrical Engineer (Mining)!Your work environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the Mining Team, based in Brampton, Sudbury, North Bay, Thompson, Brampton, St John, or Thunder Bay office.What a day at EXP has in store for youPLC, Power, Automation, and instrumentation mining experience requiredResponsible for meeting firms engineering quality levels of discipline on assigned projectsOversees development of design concepts by Designers, and ensure proper application and executionVerifies Designer’s work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawingsResponsible for applying the EXP’s risk management practices of electrical engineeringHave a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineeringEncourages collaboration to seek the best solutionsManages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hoursExecutes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordinationPerform front-end loading of Electrical systems for projectsContributes to revisions of EXP’s design standards and master specificationsEvaluates Value Engineering (cost-cutting) items with respect to our level of riskEdits and develops the basis of design narratives documenting the project scopeDevelops electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.Participates in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviewsWhat your experience looks likeBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited UniversityEIT or RegisteredAt least 3 years of experience in the mining or industrial industry
