Job Description

Mission

Working out of our Baie-Comeau or Sept-îles offices, the selected candidate will be called upon to manage a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and electrical studies. The incumbent must demonstrate autonomy and leadership skills in order to excel and develop business relationships within the local industrial sector. Travel outside of the office and to industrial sites along the North Shore will be required on an ad hoc basis (1 or 3 days/week).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Take part in all stages of projects (FEL1 to FEL4)
  • Develop technical solutions
  • Produce drawings and specifications
  • Produce equipment specifications
  • Oversee coordination among stakeholders
  • Provide technical support for various clients
  • Analyze proposals and issue recommendations for procurement
  • Produce project schedules
  • Participate in site surveys

Qualifications

  • University diploma in Electrical Engineering or a combination of experience and a technical diploma in a related field
  • Membership in the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec is an asset
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in heavy industry
  • Proficiency in French (oral and written)
  • Certification in Workplace safety on construction sites (ASP card) is an asset
  • Very autonomous, with in-depth knowledge of issues related to industrial production
  • Available to work outside of the office on an occasional basis (1 or 3 days/week)
