Day-to-day responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer will include:Supporting electronic hardware design including block diagrams, PCB schematic and layout , and manufacturing design transferSupporting design of process control and automation systems including electrical architecture diagrams, schematics, and other work packagesConceptualization of architecture solution paths for highly customized client design requirementsDeveloping scripts and other software tools to enhance or optimize testing, reporting, or analysisIdentifying industry standards and codes relevant to a product, analyzing pertinent clauses for the product, and verifying compliance with these standardsCollaborating in design team meetings including project and design reviewElectronics prototyping including hand soldering and PCB reworkTest plan development and preparing test reportsTest execution, measurement, and analysis of hardware design On your resume, we ask that you demonstrate:Degree in Electrical, Computer, or Electronics EngineeringExposure to Altium Designer or other PCB and schematic development toolsUnderstanding and demonstrated application of regulatory standards and codes (e.g. IEC/CSA 60601-1, 60079-1, 61010-1, FCC part 15/ICES-003)3-5 years experience in prototype development, testing, and manufacturing environmentsDuring the interview process, we will ask you to:Highlight your passion for engineering design and interest in technology developmentDescribe your prior experience in hardware/software development, highlighting specific responsibilities and achievements.Explain how you've effectively communicated with team members or resolved issues in previous projectsElaborate on how you’ve successfully provided creative solutions to design challengesDescribe your approach to independent work and your strategy for balancing independent responsibilities with learning and collaboration with colleagues and team membersWhy Tangent?Steady and reliable workCommitted people leaders who want the best for their teamValues that include team collaboration, problem solving and wellnessA base salary of $85,000 - $120,000Excellent health and dental benefitsProfit sharingThe opportunity to impact the futureIf you're looking for a dynamic role where your attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities will shine, then this is the place for you.
