Job Description

Our client is hiring an Electrical Designer in Windsor. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Revit, strong electrical design experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-discipline environment. This role offers the chance to be a part of a growing team within a progressive organization with competitive wages, benefit package, RRSP Employer match program, training and education subsidies and opportunities for growth and development.Responsibilities:Prepare cost estimates and various reports based on collected data (power studies, Arc Flash, etc.) for Senior reviewersDevelop electrical schematics/layouts (SLD, power distribution, lighting layouts, panel schedules, load calculations, etc.) based on project deliverablesLiaise with Clients and Local Distribution CompaniesAssist in Contract Administration (prepare Form of Tender documentation, organize specifications, review tender submissions, etc.)Performs field checks for gathering data, measurements verification and coordination.Perform Construction Administration during construction, systems start-ups and system buyoffsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededQualifications:Experience in an engineering environmentBachelor’s degree in engineering or technologist diploma with electrical focus or equivalent experienceProficiency in RevitKnowledge of electrical theory and basic construction and design of electrical distribution systems and various electrical studiesKnowledge of ESA, CSA, and other industry standardsMust be able to work in a multi-discipline environmentElectrical modeling software considered an assetInstrumentation and control experience considered an assetProficiency in 2D and 3D AutoCAD is requiredExperience in BIM 360 and InventorAdvanced computer skills in Microsoft Office SoftwareExcellent communication skills both written and verbalHighly motivated, with superb interpersonal and leadership skillsMust be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines and fluctuating schedulesMust have superior time management skills and the ability to multi-task with multiple projectsAbility to work both independently and as a team memberDemonstrated problem-solving and attention to detailHold a valid Canadian driver’s license with a good driving recordBe willing to travelForge Consulting Group prides itself on delivering a quality service to all our clients.
