As an Electrical Designer, you will be:
*Completing component level design tasks while keeping supervisor regularly inform on progress and issues encountered.
*Ensuring all designs are peer reviewed by technical lead or assigned mentor.
*Supporting test planning, execution, and reporting as assigned and under supervision of test lead.
*Participating in the generation of Research and Development opportunities, as well as other operational planning activities.
Areas of focus:
*Expertise in as many areas as possible preferred: automotive power generation, storage and distribution, automotive controls of electro-mechanical systems, automotive internal and external lights selection and integration, power and data controllers, wiring schematic development, alternating current devices (inverters, battery chargers, AC receptacles)
*Expertise on one or more domains of Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems: radios/antennas and intercom systems, navigation systems, cameras and electro-optic sensors, video networks, unscrewed systems (UAV, UGV, etc),
Education and Experience:
*University degree or College Diploma in relevant engineering discipline
*A minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience
*Expertise in harness design tools such as Siemens" Capital Enterprise suite or Zuken
*Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620D, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
*Experience with C4ISR systems on military vehicles
*P. Eng. or ability to obtain P. Eng designation
Skills and Knowledge:
*Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
*Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and others)
*Possess/be able to acquire a valid passport, with the ability to travel both domestically and internationally
*Ability to acquire and maintain a Canadian Security Clearance
