Job Description

Reporting into the Senior Director of Learning & Development, and member of the Equinox People Leadership Team, this high-impact role offers a unique opportunity to design mission-driven and critical curriculum that enhances employee growth and impact while supporting a rich culture in alignment with Equinox’s business objectives. The ideal candidate will carry equal parts strategy and execution and have the opportunity to build out a scalable function that can evolve with the learning needs of the company and the dynamic nature of the new world of work. The Curriculum Designer will collaborate with the different business units on the development and implementation of evidence-based teaching strategies to support the educational goals of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design EFTI curriculum that aligns with andragogical principles
  • Review and update existing EFTI curriculum to best support the learning needs of the coaching community
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in learning offerings
  • Create and maintain content withing the Learning Management System
  • Develop and execute flexible learning journeys
  • Build and nurture strong working relationships companywide to ensure operational efficiency and business alignment
  • Work with subject matter experts to educate and train essential skills and knowledge
  • Partner with senior Field leaders; empower them to distill required trainings / core competencies
  • Own the content creation and delivery of learning and development related trainings
Qualifications
  • Education - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in a relevant field

(Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Adult Learning, Organizational Development, Instructional Design, etc.)

  • 3+ years experience in the design and development of innovative curriculum design in higher education or in a corporate setting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in reviewing syllabus design and teaching practices, offer guidance on evidence-based strategies to support teaching redesign.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems like 360 Learning, Intellum, Cornerstone or others. A technology proponent, learning technology savvy.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory, evidence-based Instructional

design models & educational andragogy, and innovative andragogical best practices.

  • Demonstrated effectiveness in designing, developing, and delivering courses.
  • Experience working independently, cooperatively with colleagues and cross-functional teams, leading in a matrixed organization.
  • Experienced in full lifecycle including assessment of learning needs, development of curriculums and content, facilitation of live and virtual training.
  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to define scope and deliver results in a changing & growing business environment.
  • Ability to work and think globally; skilled in creating programs applicable to multi-cultural audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to present and influence at all levels and build and develop strong trusting relationships.
  • Ability to consistently generate and execute new ideas and simultaneously lead multiple projects in varying stages.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to distill complex ideas into simple concepts.
  • Able to see linkages and patterns and develop constructs linking them together.
  • Growth Mindset, sees problems as opportunities, sets high goals.

Pay Transparency: Min $90K - Max $95K
