Job Description

Miller Waste Systems is seeking an Account Manager to establish and maintain working relationships with industrial, commercial, and institutional customers. The Account Manager will be responsible for seeking opportunities to grow our business with existing clients while delivering excellent customer service and helping customers reach their environmental goals. Responsibilities : In the position of Account Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Negotiate/renew contracts with existing customer base Periodically visit client sites to investigate issues and offer support Develop sales quotations and respond to request for proposals Maintain detailed knowledge of MWS’s service offerings Promptly and courteously respond to customer requests Act as a trusted advisor for prospects and clients Research and analyze competitors Maintain trusting, long-term relationships with clients and prospects Use CRM to record prospecting and sales activity Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to the Director of Sales and Marketing Qualifications & Requirements: Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in Business or relevant field 5 years’ experience in outside sales, including engaging and retaining customers, prospecting, generating leads, and managing and growing key accounts Solid written and oral communication skills; ability to convey information clearly and concisely in the form of phone conversations, emails, in-person meetings, and presentations Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders and decision-makers Ability to productively collaborate with other internal departments, including Operations, Marketing, and Health and Safety, to deliver solutions based on client needs and objectives Comfortable cold calling prospects in designated territory Valid driver’s license, personal car for business use, and business class insurance We realize that you may not feel you have every qualification listed and that working to secure a career can be stressful.
