CEDA is looking for experienced Dredge Operators to work at our Fort McMurray, AB location on CNRL Horizon site.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing a wide variety of jobs using basic construction skills and/or operating some power equipment.
- Cleaning, preparation, and maintenance of construction equipment or components.
- Participating in daily toolbox talk meetings, weekly safety meetings, Safety tours & CEDA’s ICE card program.
- Required to operate and maintain deposition areas, plant facilities, tank farm location, screen tanks & manage sump levels.
- Perform other activities to assist with process and machine operators.
- Maintain Cleanliness of equipment & Housekeeping in immediate work areas.
- May be required to assist with minor repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to travel and flexibility in scheduling is required.
Role Specifications:
- Prior experience with pumps, centrifuge systems, or dredging and dewatering.
- Valid Class 5 license with a clean abstract.
- Valid CSO certification (or combination of CSTS-09 and OSSA Regional or BSO).
- Valid Pleasure Craft operator card is desirable.
- Marine Emergency Duties (A1 or A3) license is an asset.
- Small Vessel Operator (SVOP) training is an asset.
- Able to provide a negative pre-employment alcohol and drug test.
- Able to work in confined spaces or at heights with the use of fall restraint equipment is an asset.
- Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment (N-95 Dust Mask / North Half mask).
Skills:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
