Metro Vancouver’s wastewater treatment division is comprised of five regional wastewater treatment plants which process over 1 billion litres of wastewater generated every day by residents, businesses and industries to protect public health and the environment.Job Description:Reporting to the Director, Wastewater Treatment & Residuals Management, Operations & Maintenance, the Division Manager, Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance will lead the growth of the division as Metro Vancouver plans to expand and upgrade several of their treatment plants across the next 10 years. The Division Manager will be analytically driven with a focus on optimizing the performance of the team to ensure that as systems are growing, the maintenance division works to adopt industry best practices that service the ever-growing demand. Supporting the growth of the workforce, the Division Manager will act as a collaborator and mentor to their team of approximately 80 staff.Requirements:University degree in engineering, or other relevant field.10 years of recent, related progressive experience.Extensive technical expertise in the maintenance of utility systems related to wastewater operations (including drainage).Superior understanding of maintenance aspects affecting the design, construction, and operations and maintenance of wastewater facilities, safety requirements, regulatory requirements, and relevant municipal bylaws.Formal professional or technical designation in an appropriate area of expertise.Metro Vancouver is an equal opportunity employer.
