Job Description

Job Title: District Sales ManagerLocation: Mississauga, ONPosition Type: Permanent  The District Sales Manager’s goal is to support the objectives of the Sales Department by providing leadership, guidance, coaching, and support to Hino dealers in the assigned territory. The incumbent will assist dealers with truck sales activities, prospect new sales opportunities and provide general support to the HINO dealer network. Job Functions / ResponsibilitiesPlan and conduct regular in person dealer visits & maintain regular telephone contact with dealers to gain accurate understanding of current sales activities. Responsible to coordinate truck sales with sales programs, implement policies and strengthen brand image within the dealer network.Establish an effective support role with dealer management regarding performance objectives, market development, sales programs and events. Communicate with the dealer network regarding truck sales activities, inventory/order planning and wholesale of trucks to dealers. Provide accurate and timely reporting, including dealer visit reports and sales activity reports regarding quoted/contracted deals, orders placed, and delivery schedules. Identify product requirements and sales opportunities within the assigned market area.Assist with training dealer team members in products, systems, and processes.Attend customer visits with dealer sales team members to provide required support and assistance to close truck sale opportunities. Provide feedback and coaching on performance management of dealers while addressing and documenting noncompliant items.Achieve targets outlined by Hino Motors Canada, Ltd. RequirementsMinimum five years of sales and/or sales management experience within the commercial truck industry.Strong PC Skills; Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams. Languages: English - required, French - an asset but not required.Ability to identify customer needs and provide good customer service.Ability to exercise initiative, good judgement and discretion in all matters.Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership influencing, and negotiating skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently with accuracy.Proficient with Microsoft OfficeDZ / Class 3 license or provincial equivalent an assetG / Class 5 license or equivalent requiredFrequent travel required
