As District Manager, you will lead a team of Store Managers within the assigned area to drive profitable sales. Reporting to the Regional Director for Store Operations, you will plan strategies and tactics for consistent implementation to deliver results through teams of engaged associates. Your background includes multi-unit retail management experience with a focus on consistency in execution and delivering great customer experiences. What you will do in this role…Lead and direct a team of Store ManagersBuild and develop a team of engaged and results-driven Store Managers, focused on driving profitable salesIdentify development opportunities for leaders and associates within the district and provide training to enable performance for growth and career progressionConduct regular talent reviews, build development & succession plansServe as a resource to provide expertise on key customer issues, store standards, and other operational issuesDeliver Financial ResultsAchieve sales plan for the assigned districtEnsure payroll and other costs are controlledDirect teams to minimize inventory shrinkage; analyze results to identify root causes and take action to maintain inventory integrity throughout the districtIdentify opportunities in product mix to maximize profitable salesDrive operational consistency and excellenceConduct regular store visits to support leaders, review standards and provide guidance for continued successEnsure standards are maintained with an eye on merchandise placement, store signage and proper display techniques that create an inviting place to shop as per set plansFollow up to confirm that corporate policies, memos and merchandise bulletins are enforced and completed in storesEnsure excellent record keeping standards are in place – review required documentation to confirm accuracy and quality of completionCommunicate opportunities or issues with all Store Support Centre and other partners in a timely mannerAs an ideal candidate, you are an individual with…Passion for developing and leading othersProven ability to deliver resultsRetail savvy – you thrive in the fast pace of this businessTimely decision making/action oriented skillsResilience and energyAnd your qualifications include…3+ years’ experience as a District or Area Manager in retail5+ years Store Management experiencePost-secondary education in a business-related fieldWhat’s in it for you…Work as part of team of talented, dedicated, and fun associatesBe part of a growing Fortune 200 companyGroup health, dental and insurance benefitsA competitive salary and bonus programCareer growth opportunitiesDollar Tree Canada is growing fast and looking for individuals with a great attitude who enjoy being part of a high-energy team!
