Join our team as a dedicated Plant Engineer, where your expertise in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing will shine. You'll be the cornerstone of our maintenance operations, diagnosing issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and ensuring timely repairs. Collaborate on contracts, manage supplies, and uphold safety standards in a dynamic environment.
What You Will Do:
- Assists in diagnosing problems and repairs in the areas of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
- Performs preventative maintenance as assigned.
- Ensures maintenance issues and repairs are being responded to promptly and professionally.
- Performs property inspections on a regular basis to maintain cleanliness and identify problems.
- Ensures excellent customer service to prospective and current residents and promotes a quality living experience for all residents.
- Promotes and participates in Company-sponsored training programs within the required time frame.
- Works with general manager on creating contracts.
- Orders supplies, works with general manager on budget.
- Monitors work order system ensures all work orders are up to date.
- Reads all maintenance reports including work orders, preventative maintenance, and talks with general manager to ensure all work is taken care of in a timely manner.
- Participates in Company-provided training such as fair housing, safety, non-discrimination, and harassment prevention.
- Complies with all Company National Standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Works shifts may be changed accordingly dependent upon business needs.
- Performs other duties as required.
What You Will Bring:
Possess a Fourth Class Power Engineer License or a Diploma / Certificate in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heating and Gas Technology. Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field. Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a working knowledge of electrical, and mechanical systems. Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to define problems, and resolve them quickly, familiarity with local building codes and OSHA regulations. Familiarity with all current health and safety regulations. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well with ever-changing priorities and situations. Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of the plant.
